Generation and distribution of the basic necessities
of life have provided mankind’s longest sustained research and
development efforts throughout history. Let us examine
man’s most fundamental requirement, water; gravity has been and remains
the single most prevalent force in water’s delivery system.
Every culture throughout history has relied on the same physical
principle of gravity to distribute water. It’s basic.
It’s simple. Its physics are inherent to the system.
Compass’ system is
basic. Its principles are inherent to the organic
lifecycle. It functions without environmental dangers or the
possibility of a catastrophic event. It’s simple. It
does not need costly, complex compensatory equipment as an apology for
its activity. It will not need future modifications to meet new
EPA requirements. Our system’s science is universal.
It is constant.
Compass’ system
consists of multiple conversion units that utilize the elemental forces
of wind and heat. Our system mechanically shatters the organic
whole into parts. Then it removes the ‘manufactured’
structure imposed on the underlying molecular components. The
conversion results in a methane based syngas and a segregated carbon
solid with sulfur affixed. This process step eliminates SOx
pollution. The final process catalytically ‘combusts’
the syngas which inhibits the excitation of NOx.* The emerging energy
can either drive generators, turbines or be conditioned to feed fuel
cells. Any of the three choices of power generation produces
clean, green electricity.
Business Week’s News Analysis & Commentary by By John Carey with Chris Palmeri in Los Angeles and Wendy Zellner in Dallas contained the following data provided by The
Center for Energy & Climate Solutions, Cambridge Energy Research
Associates and Electric Power Research Institute:
Another
Way?
As energy prices rise, alternative sources are
becoming profitable:
Oil at $56 per
barrel on March 16
At $25-30:
■ Oil mined from tar sands
At
$35-40:
■ Liquefied coal
■ Processing sugar to alcohol
At
$40 and up:
■ Oil from shale
Natural Gas at $7.13 per million BTUs on
March 16
At $2.50 to $4.00:
■ Imports of liquefied gas
At
$3.50 to $4.00:
■ New production off Gulf Coast
At
$4.00 to up:
■ Production from western Canada
Electricity at $50 per megawatt-hour
(current average wholesale price)
At $33*:
■ New nuclear plants
At
$41*:
■ Wind power
At
$112*:
■ Solar power
* Estimated levelized cost in 2010 without
subsidies
Compass’ innovative
technology transcends current attempts to transform environmental waste
into useful products or clean energy. All the attempts have ended
in one of two ways: the transfer of a land based environmental problem
to an air borne one, e. g. open flame incineration of tires, or clean
energy is successfully produced but at an economic loss.
Compass’ technology
creates multiple revenue streams from its three processes. The
multiple revenue streams rationalize the profitable enterprise.
It is the whole of the parts that enable Compass to offer what no other
energy company can: locked-in, long term, lower energy
costs. As the new anchor tenant in undervalued multi-tenant
industrial properties, Compass instantaneously converts the failing
properties into money-makers. The tenants benefit from
their ability to calculate a major cost, energy, into long term
forecasts. This means greater stability and increases their
competitive edge. Compass can build the power plant to meet exact
needs benefiting by matching its costs to full capacity revenue prior
to construction.
We know of no other enterprise prior to turnkey that
can lock-in its costs on a long term basis and know with 100% certainty
that its sales price will be met with a demand that matches its
capacity.
